CHAMBERSBURG, Pa. – Chambersburg Hospital’s Volunteer Services department held their annual volunteer recognition ceremony on May 14. The theme was “Fabulous Fifties.”
CHAMBERSBURG, Pa. (May 16, 2013) -- The Chambersburg Hospital Occupational Therapy staff held their 8th annual soft pretzel sale in recognition of Occupational Therapy month in April. They raised $400 and donated the proceeds to the Chambersburg Hospital Auxiliary.
National Cancer Survivors’ Day is Sunday, June 2. Summit Cancer and Hematology Services, a non-profit affiliate of Summit Health, will be holding a Cancer Survivors’ Day celebration from 1 to 3 p.m. at the King Street United Brethren Church Baker Center, 162 E. The Keynote Speakers for this year’s event are Karen Keefer, cancer survivor, and Keefer’s medical oncologist, Dr. John Robinson.
CHAMBERSBURG, Pa (May 10, 2013) -The 14th annual Children's Wellness Days was held from May 7 to May 9 in Chambersburg. The event brings area third graders together to promote concepts of good health and wellness. More than 1,500 students participated in this year's event, sponsored by Summit Health and Susquehanna Bank.
This was the ninth year Susquehanna Bank co-sponsored the event.

CHAMBERSBURG, Pa. (May 3, 2013) - Chambersburg Hospital was awarded American Heart Association/American Stroke Association's Bronze Award for their excellence in Stroke Care at a ceremony on April 25.
According to Steve Dentel from the American Heart Association/American Stroke Association, this award signifies that patients are leaving Chambersburg Hospital sooner and more patients are surviving their strokes.
CHAMBERSBURG, Pa (May 2, 2013) - In recognition of Better Speech and Hearing month, Barry Deese, Audiologist with Summit ENT and Hearing Services in Chambersburg, shared four important tips to help prevent hearing loss.
Deese said, "The most important thing you can do is to wear ear protection. Once damage is done to your hearing you can't get it back without the help of hearing aids."
