The Shadowing Program introduces high school students and others who are considering a career in health care. In this program, you are able to observe and talk with health care professionals at Chambersburg Hospital, Waynesboro Hospital, or another Summit Health facility.

Discover, through a real life experience, how you could make a difference as you consider a career in health care. In order for you to participate in the Shadowing Program, you should:

• be at least 14 years old to shadow and 16 years old for the operating room
• be at least 16 years old to shadow in the Emergency Department
• have an interest in exploring a health care career
• coordinate with your guidance counselor
• complete the Shadowing Program Application (link on the right)

You will be notified upon your acceptance to the program. Please note: It may take 4-6 weeks for placement.
