Cycling  

Monday & Wednesday 6:30 pm | Tuesday & Thursday 5:45 am and 9 am | Saturday 9:15 am

Designed for all levels, this 40-minute class uses indoor bicycles to offer a non-impact, highly effective way to build cardiovascular strength & endurance.

Pilates Stretch & Strengthen    

Wednesday & Friday  9:30 am - 10:15 am 

This 45-minute class combines exercises that strengthen and define the core muscles (abs, trunk & back) by employing the Pilates method with stretches to lengthen muscles & increase flexibility & balance.  All levels encouraged.

SilverSneakers®      

Monday - Friday 10:45 am - 11:45 am 

Have fun and move to the music through a variety of exercises designed to increase muscular strength, range of movement and activities for daily living.  Hand-held weights, elastic tubing with handles and a SilverSneakers ball are offered for resistance.  A chair is available if needed for seated or standing support. 

Stretch                                             

Tuesday 10:15 am  - 11 am

This class will focus on range of motion and muscle relaxation.  It targets all muscle groups.  All levels encouraged.

Abs & Stretch                

Thursday 10:15 am - 11 am

An intense, 45-minute workout designed to strengthen the muscles of the lower back and tighten and firm the abs.  This class will also focus on range of motion & muscle relaxation. All levels encouraged.

Yoga  

Tuesday 6:15 pm - 7:15 pm |  Thursday 5:45 pm - 6:45 pm | Saturday 8 am - 9 am

This hour-long class is a blend of balance, strength & flexibility training. Yoga enhances circulation, stamina & performance in all sports. It also decreases the risk of injury & augments recovery. All levels are encouraged.

Zumba® Fitness                                

Monday 6 pm - 7 pm  |  Wednesday 6 pm - 7 pm  | Saturday 9 am - 10 am

Zumba combines Latin and international music with a fun and effective workout.  All levels are encouraged.

 

 

 

Heartsaver First Aid 

Learn to recognize and treat life-threatening emergencies including cardiac arrest and choking for responsive and unresponsive adult, children, and infant victims.  

You will also learn the warning signs This course teaches participants how to effectively recognize and treat emergencies involving illness and injuries in the critical first minutes until emergency medical services personnel arrive.

Having a baby is a very time in anyone life. Let us help you prepare for this experience, through a variety of childbirth education classes at either Chambersburg Hospital or Waynesboro Hospital.

Childbirth Education Classes

Chambersburg Classes

Available for Summit Women's Group - Chambersburg patients
This 3-week series explains the labor and delivery process, routine hospital procedures, coping mechanisms, medications, vaginal and cesarean births, and a tour of the Chambersburg Hospital labor and delivery unit.

A fourth class on breast feeding will be recommended to those interested. The breastfeeding class is open to the public and attendance to our Childbirth Class is not required.

The series of Childbirth Classes that you register for should begin when you are approximately 26 to 29 weeks of pregnancy.

  • Time: 7 pm - 9:15 pm
  • Cost: $64/couple. Must be paid in full at the time of registration

A class to teach and/or review basic newborn baby care.  Some topics include: what will my newborn look like, routine hospital care, feeding, bathing, sleep routines, safety, and when to call the doctor.

Stroke Survivor Group

The Stroke Survivor Support Group is designed for those who have had strokes and their family members and friends.  Meetings are held monthly on the third Thursday of the month.

Beyond Grief Support Group

This support group is designed for those who are grieving the death of a loved one.  The group meets on the first and third Monday of each month, from 6:30 to 7:30 pm in the Chambersburg Hospital.
